Shopping for the perfect dress online can feel overwhelming — so we made it easier. With Buy to Try, you can order up to 3 dresses, try them on at home, and only keep the one you love.

We cover the return cost by enclosing a prepaid returns bag with your order. When we recieve the returned gown/s we will refund you for the cost of the gown/s less a small $10 restocking fee per returned dress. If you choose to pay by Credit Card or AfterPay we will also need to deduct the procesing fee, however paying by bank transfer, prefered by us, means no deduction of a processing fees.

How it works
- Choose 2 or 3 dresses you love
- Add “BUY TO TRY” in your order notes at checkout
- We include a prepaid returns bag for easy NZ returns
- Try your dresses on at home.
- Submit a returns request via our returns portal within 5 working days of receiving your order
- Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email
- Keep your favourite and pop the rest in the return bag and drop it to the post office or book a courier within 5 working days of receiving the returns approval.

Returns made simple
New Zealand customers:
- We include a prepaid returns bag — you don’t pay for return shipping
- Bay Bridal covers the return cost of your first return. All future returns will need to be at your own expense.
- A $10 restocking fee per returned dress is deducted from your refund
- If paying by Credit Card or Afterpay then the processing fee is also deducted from the refund.
Australian customers:
- Returns are welcome using our Australian returns address
- Return shipping will be at your own expense
- A restocking fee of $10 per returned dress applies
- If using Credit Card or After Pay the processing fee will also be deducted from your refund therefore we recommend payment via bank tranfer to avoid this extra fee.
If you wish to return all dresses
If you return all dresses, the lowest-priced gown will be converted into a store credit (valid for 2 years) and the other items will be refunded.
