Bay Bridal and Ball Gowns are fantastic! They offer a wide range of colour options and beautiful designs, all very reasonably priced. Delivery was quick, and they even helped with ties for the bridesmen to match the bridesmaids dresses. Highly recommended!

Yes! Our Buy to Try service is ideal for bridal parties spread across the country. Each bridesmaid can try their size at home. Overnight shipping makes it easy.
We're at 265 High Street, Motueka, in the Tasman District. There is free street parking right outside and additional parking nearby. If you're driving from Nelson, it’s about a 30-minute scenic drive, perfect for a bridal shopping day trip.
Any NZ-stocked gowns are sent via overnight courier post. For non-rural addresses, delivery is typically overnight or within 1–2 working days, with most city deliveries arriving the next business day.
NZ-stocked gowns will display the badge: “1–4 days delivery NZ wide” on the product page.
If a gown needs to be specially ordered in, the product page will display: “8–12 days delivery NZ wide”
We are partnered with a trusted local seamstresses in Motueka who knows our gowns well and is located right next door. We'll help you book an urgent fitting if time is tight.
You’re welcome to visit us with no appointment needed
Tuesday to Friday from 10am–4pm, and Saturdays from 10am–1pm.
For brides wanting dedicated one-on-one service, we also offer private 1-hour appointments
Tuesday to Friday from 4pm–7pm, Saturday afternoons from 1pm–4pm, and Sunday mornings from 10am–1pm.
These private appointments must be booked online in advance and have a $30 booking fee which is refunded when a gown is purchased.
We’re closed on Mondays and Public Holidays, but our online store is open 24/7, 365 days a year.
We accept returns for exchange or store credit (valid for 2 years).
For time-sensitive events, our Buy to Try service makes choosing easier. Simply order 2–3 gowns to try on at home, then return the styles that aren’t right for you. These will be refunded.
For this service:
A $10 fee applies per returned gown
Bay Bridal covers return postage within New Zealand
Afterpay and credit card processing fees are deducted from refunds, as these charges are not refunded to us by the payment provider
To avoid the processing fees, we recommend choosing bank transfer for Buy to Try orders where possible.
